From the "Kid's Corner" - Turnips

Posted by Carole Koch

Most kids won’t eat turnips, unless served in disguise!

A great method is to boil some chunks of turnip along with potatoes destined for mashing. After adding milk and butter, the turnips will be barely noticeable. If you add cheese, the kids may not notice the turnips at all! Just be careful of the proportion of turnips to potatoes; no more than one small turnip per 3 to 4 potatoes.

(This works on finicky adults, too!)
