Cinnamon Turnips

Posted by Carole Koch

If your kids like cinnamon toast, they may also like cinnamon turnips!

Scrub and peel turnips. Cut into 1/2 to 1-inch slice or cubes. Boil for 8 to 10 minutes or steam for 12 to 15 minutes. (If boiled, drain well before proceeding.)

Heat 1 to 2 tablespoons butter in a sauté pan over medium high heat. As soon as butter begins to foam, add the turnips. Sauté until heated through and just beginning to brown. Sprinkle with cinnamon, to taste.
