Sweet Glazed Summer Squash & Onions

4 medium yellow squash or zucchini, sliced or diced
1 medium onion, diced
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
Salt and pepper to taste

In a saucepan, melt butter or margarine over medium heat and sauté the onion until it begins to brown. Add squash and toss to coat evenly with onion and butter. Cover and simmer until tender but still a little firm, 5 to 10 minutes. Add additional butter if necessary, and then add brown sugar, tossing gently to form a glaze.

Serves 4.
