Rutabaga
From the "Kids' Corner" - Easy Mashed Rutabaga with Onions

Rutabaga are great cooked and mashed with onions, but if you think your kids will turn up their noses, try mixing this recipe with mashed potatoes.
1 rutabaga, diced
1 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Cook rutabaga and onion in a small amount of boiling salted water until tender. Drain and mash; add butter, salt and pepper. Mash rutabaga and onions well.
Serves 4 to 6.
