Beet Burgers

2 cups beets, grated
2 cups carrots, grated
1/2 cup onions, grated or finely chopped
1 cup cooked rice
1 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup sesame seeds
2 eggs, beaten
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
1 cup grated cheddar or other cheese
3 Tablespoons flour
1/4 cup oil
1 garlic, minced
Parsley, washed, chopped, amount to taste
Cayenne pepper, to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease baking pan or cookie sheet.
Toast both sunflower seeds and sesame seeds in a skillet or toaster oven, tossing occasionally.

Mix all ingredients together; form into patties; place on baking pan. Bake patties until browned around the edges, about 20 minutes. Unless the patties are very large and thick, it should not be necessary to turn them.

Yield 12 patties.
